Highschool Preparation

The result? Students leave DBA confident, capable, and ready to thrive in their next chapter.

100% of DBA graduates are accepted to their first or second choice high school.

Preparation begins early and builds over all three years at DBA:

  • Executive Functioning Skills are taught and reinforced daily, with students using planners and project checklists to manage assignments, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is integrated into our curriculum, helping students grow in self-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
  • 8th Grade Leadership SEL Program equips our oldest students to mentor younger peers, lead school events, and graduate with confidence in their ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and self-advocate.
  • Preparation begins well before 8th grade, with ISEE readiness built directly into our vocabulary studies and math curriculum.
