Dietrich Bonhoeffer Academy was founded to equip middle school students with the skills and knowledge for success at the next level. Now, our first group of graduates will utilize the tools they have developed at a variety of excellent schools across the Houston area.
We are pleased to announce that our 8th graders have been accepted to the following college preparatory high schools:
- The Emery/Weiner School
- St. Thomas High School
- St. Francis Episcopal School
- St. Pius X High School
- Westbury Christian School
It was a pleasure to provide support to both students and their families in this critical activity. A DBA parent described the experience as follows: “Coach Lerch worked with us closely throughout the entire high school application process. He met with us before the school year to present good school options to research in the fall based on our child’s needs. He then helped guide us through how to approach the ISEE preparation process in a very realistic way. He then helped us narrow down the schools to apply to, and coached our child in completing his essays. The essay writing was a monumental task for our child, and Coach’s feedback on the essay content and the encouragement he provided was essential. The school also provided a mock interview by another experienced educator, which allowed our child to feel very confident in this step. Coach Lerch has a tremendous amount of patience and gives an excessive amount of time to ensure each student’s high school process is successful for him or her.”
We are proud of the hard work that our students in the Class of 2024 have done to achieve their goals for high school admissions.
